DISPATCHER


We are looking for a reliable dispatcher to act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. You will receive requests, transmit messages and track vehicles.

The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.

Emergency Medical Technician


Skilled work in basic emergency care in a pre-hospital setting. An employee in this capacity serves as one of the members of a two-man team representing not only themselves but Pennsylvania Ambulance at all times. The Emergency Medical Technician is the instructed member of the team that is responsible for all basic emergency care.

Paramedic


Skilled work in advanced emergency care in a pre-hospital setting. An employee in this capacity serves as one of the members of a two-man team.. The Paramedic is the instructed member of the team that is responsible for all advanced emergency care. In many cases, a Paramedic must administer life-sustaining treatment in the form(s) of intravenous fluids, cardiac monitoring and medications, endotracheal or nasotracheal intubation and or any related treatment falling under the Northeastern Regional Protocols of Pennsylvania.

Special Operations Vehicles


Pennsylvania Ambulance has two 4WD Ford F350 Special Operations vehicles. PA 35 and PA 53 both carry a wide assortment of tools used for many types incidents. Our Special Operations Units carry heating, cooling items and shelters for Incident Rehab Equipment. The units carry body armor, Kevlar helmets, and Mass hemorrhage kits for Rescue Task Force incidents. Mass Casualty managment items, extrication gear, ropes, forcible entry tools and recovery equipment fill out the rest of the vehicle. PA 35 is also PA DOH licensed as an ALS squad with Cynaokit response bag assigned to the unit. These units service all of our primary EMS response areas and our mutual aid partners upon request.
